The backs of the waves glisten with silver, frothing into white lace as they tumble over themselves and against the sand, which crunches softly under her bare toes. The water beckons her, pulls at her feet, making soft, calming shhhh noises. She is alone.

She inhales the salty scent of the ocean, lets it flow through her and fill her lungs, fill her. Her hair whips around her head, wild and free.

The smooth curve of beach is interrupted by a dark shape. Katara falters, suspicious, curious. Then she runs.

It is a man. Sideways in the sand, curled into a kind of fetal position. The lower half of his body is that of a fish. Katara’s heart leaps into her throat. A merman.

Zuko Cosplay Refs and Help!

Zuko is a firebending master, born as a prince in the Fire Nation Royal Family, who held the throne to the Fire Nation from 100 AG to 167 AG. His story often paralleled that of Avatar Aang. Initially Team Avatar's primary enemy, Zuko's life revolved around trying to capture the long-lost Avatar to end his banishment and regain his honor as Crown Prince of the Fire Nation.

Outfit 1: Fire Nation Armour. A mixer of dark red, light red, grey and black. Appears to be made up of several layers. Beneath the helm, Zuko is mostly bald with a ponytail. (i can see why he likes wearing the helmet) Like most characters it seems, his pants tuck into his boots.

Outfit 2: His Blue Spirit disguise. It appears to be dark green pants tucked into his boots, long sleeved top either tucked into bracers or they are simply just wrapped around his wrists. A black belt, a sword sheath slung over one shoulder, two swords and the Blue Spirit Mask.

Outfit 3: Earth Kingdom Clothes Part 1. His base outfit is much the same as Blue Spirits, except he wears a conical hat and a sleeveless brown and green? robe. He now has a bit of hair, the ponytail is gone and replaced with black fuzz. The sword sheath is now around his waist instead of across his shoulder.

Outfit 4: Earth Kingdom Clothes Part 2. Various asian inspired green outfits. Refer to previous refs for some patterns. And below for others. Sorry D: too many for me to describe.

Outfit 5: Assorted Fire Nation outfits. Some of the armour links above my be helpful for some of these. These are all various shades of red with gold embroidery or borders. Most, except the beach outfit, have high collars.

Crown: 1. Tutorial, 2.

Outfit 6: Worn when he joins the group to help Aang. Zuko wears a short sleeve, crossed over red short with dark red and gold borders. Under a dark red, long vest like garment with also gold borders and matching gold belt.

Worn with red puffy pants tucked into his boots.

His hair is much longer now obviously. His swords are once again slung over one shoulder.

Outfit 7: Similiar to one of the outfits in the Fire Nation set. This one is more like a robe, with similiar shoulder layers, this time with one bordered in gold and pointed.

Crown: 1.

Buy The Oufit: 1.

Makeup: 1, 2, 3, 4.

Props (the swords): 1, tutorial 2.

When it comes to hair, use your judgement. For some a bald cap plus a top knot will do, for others, a short shaggy black wig.
